Fear the Rally Monkey

It is Thursday, and I am way behind as we had a late night (by my standards). We were in Anaheim for Orioles-Angels last night, and had a pretty solid baseball experience. Man, Vladimir Guerrero is my hero. He has to be in the debate of “best player in baseball”.

Well, the Modano deal is done, so now we can all go on with our lives. It is now up to him to prove his worth, and I think he will.

Anyway, here is the deal. It is almost 10 am, and I do not have time to blog. I have to get to football practice and listen to the 11 am press conference. So, with that in mind, please feel free to post your own links (within reason), and check back tomorrow.

What time is the Parcell's conference today so that I can put my d$#k in a vice instead of listening to that that 45 minute beating?

Just curious.

Death to the rally monkey!!!!! :D

I don't know if I would actually do that Fake Big Mac, but I completely agree with the total whip that is the Parcell's daily briefing.

I guess if we're owed a refund, then we get what we paid for, correct? By the way, it's supposed to be 100 degrees here again today. Screw Oxnard!!

Oh yeah, and Phil Nevin is sure tearing it up since coming over too huh?

Links, huh? Ok, well, since I'm always just sitting on my ass reading, maybe I'll try to contibute today.

First off, one of the best PC games ever just released a free upgrade patch that should give you an excuse to play all over again: Diablo 2. A real classic, and it runs like a dream on any computer that has come out in the last three years or so because it is a give year old game.

Next, here is the story from the Astronomer himself about the discovery of the new planet out beyond Pluto. Lots of pictures and links. Really cool stuff.

Also, the president just went on vacation, so if you want to see his itinerary for the first day, it makes for a funny read.

Also in politics, Paul Krugman has a very interesting column about life in France vs life in America, especially in terms of families and work. Good stuff to think about, whether you agree or not.

In politics and sports, we had 20 soldiers die tragically in Iraq in the past few days, but the morons in the House of Representatives think the most important thing that needs their attention is whether or not Raffy lied about using steroids to the panel. Screw upgrading the armor on the Humvees, let's talk steroids!

More to the point of your blog, here is a good column from the Startlegram about Jason Witten's emergence as a big play tight end for the Boys. And here is a column sort of previewing TCU's season. Can Gary Patterson successfully piss away all of Coach Fran's legacy?

I'd try to find some Ranger links, but losing two at home to the Double-A's is just too damned depressing, and I refuse on principle to promote hockey.

There ya go.

Remember kids--don't jar! (We can wait until you're 18--so can you)

Truly a spare day Bob, truly a spare.

I think I speak for us all when I say we expect a stellar showing tomorrow along with many hot sports opinions on the signing of Modano, the continuing Raffy saga, and anything else Cowboy Camp related.

Ah, so the French are better because they take more vacations?

Lazy bums....no wonder their armies roll over at the first sound of gunfire....

As many vacations as Mr. Mission Accomplished takes, I wonder if he isn't secretly French. I think he might actually be happier over there.

Bob hates the P1, it's 6:40 Pacific Coast Time and still no blog entry. I wonder if Bob still has HIS wedding ring on--or if he lost it at the Chicken Ranch!

I saw him in our fine establishment last night....
