Do You Take Cash?

WOW! I guess money will not be an object for the Cowboys. What frustrates me a bit is where was this money a year ago? You could have had Antoine Winfield for a $10 million bonus in 2004, and now you pay $11 million for Anthony Henry? I may be showing my NFL ignorance, but are you telling me Winfield is not as good a player as Henry? I don’t believe that for a second. Oh well, if they get Marco Rivera today, this off-season is looking wonderful…

$20 million in bonus money!

The Cowboys signed cornerback Anthony Henry to a five-year, $25 million deal that included an $11 million bonus Wednesday, and a source close to negotiations said defensive tackle Jason Ferguson signed a five-year, $21.5 million deal that had a $9 million bonus.

Rivera (above) next?

The Cowboys hope it's a matter of time before they complete the free-agent trifecta with Rivera, 32, who spent the past nine years in Green Bay. Rivera's agent also represents Parcells, Ferguson and Cowboys linebacker Bradie James and tight end Jason Witten.

Improving the right side of the offensive line was already a priority, but with the less-than-mobile Bledsoe at quarterback it became even more crucial.

Signing Rivera, who has started 111 career games including every game the past six seasons, could mean a durable and aggressive replacement for Andre Gurode at right guard.

Drese agrees to 2-year contract for Rangers ...

Is this every hockey fan’s dream? The Entire NHL to be sold? …Not bloody likely, but the idea of Wirtz, Hicks, and Jacobs being bought out made this worthy of the blog…

A Mavs night to make you proud…Not ….How do you get rolled by the Clippers twice in a row?

"I felt tonight that we weren’t ready to play,’’ said Dirk Nowitzki, who led the Mavericks with 25 points. "They got whatever they wanted, especially in the first half when we were down by almost 20.
"It’s a hole that you don’t want to get yourself into because it puts a lot of pressure on you."
